The Rembrandt is equipped with a powerful 220V cross-flow fan, operating silently to ensure efficient heat distribution at a rate of 150 cubic feet
per minute (cfm). Positioned beneath the ash pan, this fan circulates air around the firebox, initiating the convection process once the firebox
temperature reaches 60°C, ensuring optimal warmth throughout the room.
The exterior ashpan facilitates ample airflow during initial combustion and refueling, with controllable knobs regulating primary air to the
combustion chamber. Together with stone firebricks, the ashpan encourages the use of anthracite for clean and efficient burning.
For secondary combustion, a control lever below the ash pan manages airflow, directing it through vents passing over the combustion
chamber. This preheated air then flows over the viewing glass, serving as an air-wash system to prevent soot buildup and maintain a clear view
of the flames.
